Your Codex CLI usage limit runs out. Budget Pilot makes it last longer and stops hallucinations in your chat, and real work still gets full power.
*Our own tests in October 2026: the same tasks with and without Budget Pilot, measured by token cost. †A real week of heavy daily use with Budget Pilot (11 to 17 Oct 2026) against the week before. Your results will vary.

Code and work in your AI tool like always.
It works quietly in the background.
Long chats stay sharp, with no made-up answers.
Your limit lasts longer.

Keep your chats as long as you like. Your chat remembers 100M+ tokens, we still save your usage, and we stop in-chat hallucinations.
Steers every message in a split second: quick questions stay light, big jobs get full power.
Shows how much of your 5-hour and weekly limit is left, and warns you before you run out.
Runs by itself in the background, for every session of your AI tool. Turn it off any time.
Counts the tokens it saves you. A cat crew turns your savings into free days.
Also on the ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini websites, through a browser extension that uses the same key. Websites only, not their desktop or phone apps.
Budget Pilot has its own AI, trained in-house. It makes your limit last even longer, so more of it goes to real work.

Works on: Windows 10 and 11, Mac and Linux.
With: Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Claude Code, Qwen Code, OpenCode or Aider. You need one of them installed first. Versions checked every night.

Budget Pilot for a whole team or company: many keys, one invoice. Tell us what you need and we will send you an offer.
Right after you pay, you see your key and make a password (a free trial key comes by email). Your account page then shows these steps with your key already filled in.
Windows (PowerShell):
irm "https://budgetpilot.net/install.ps1?key=YOUR-KEY" | iex
Your AI tool runs inside Ubuntu (WSL)? Then use the Linux line in Ubuntu instead.
Mac or Linux (Terminal):
curl -fsSL https://budgetpilot.net/install.sh | bash -s -- YOUR-KEY
These are examples. After you buy, your account page shows them with your own key already in, ready to copy.
On Linux it may ask for your password once, to put the Claude Code hooks in the machine-wide settings. Press Enter three times instead and it installs just for you, and that works too. Want to read the script first? install.sh and install.ps1.
Windows: open the Start menu, type PowerShell and open it. Mac: press Cmd + Space, type Terminal and press Enter. Linux: press Ctrl + Alt + T. To paste: right-click, or press Ctrl + Shift + V (Cmd + V on a Mac). When it asks for your password, nothing shows while you type; that's normal.
bp. You should see the Budget Pilot screen with Status: On.
That's all: Budget Pilot now works by itself, in the background. After step 3 there is nothing new to learn. Keep using your AI tool exactly as you do now. Here is what that looks like for each one:
claude
Chat as always. After each message you see a short line, “Budget Pilot is working”, and a warning before your limit runs out.
In VS Code, Cursor or Windsurf: the Claude Code extension works automatically too, same as in the terminal.
gemini
Chat as always. Your limit lasts longer, and real work still gets full power.
codex(or
qwen, or
aider)Have one clear job? Type the job after bp --run instead. Budget Pilot opens the
tool ready for it:
bp --run "fix the login bug in auth.py"
bp --run "add a dark mode switch"
It opens OpenCode ready for that task.
Good to know: it never costs you more than your own settings would, and important work
always gets full power. Pause it with bp --off, turn it back on with bp --on. Not sure which AI tools
it found? Type bp --detect.
Antigravity on Windows: its terminal works when it is connected to Ubuntu (WSL). In its chat panel, Budget Pilot can only give tips, and you choose.
Updates install by themselves. Nothing to do. To remove Budget Pilot, paste this line into the terminal and press Enter:
curl -fsSL https://budgetpilot.net/install.sh | bash -s -- --remove
Windows (PowerShell):
irm "https://budgetpilot.net/install.ps1?remove=1" | iex
For the ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini websites (not their desktop or phone apps): works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Firefox, with the same key. Get it from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons, or from your account (a free trial key works too).
