Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your email address, to run your subscription and your account.
• If you create an account: a password, which we keep only as a salted one-way hash (we cannot read it), and the support messages you write to us.
• Your licence key, and from each machine that uses it: a machine code (a one-way hash of the machine's ID), the host name, the IP address, the Budget Pilot version and when it last checked in.
• From each browser where you use the Budget Pilot extension: a random code made for that browser, the browser's name (such as Chrome or Firefox), the extension's version, the IP address and when it last checked in.
• Card and billing details go straight to Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. We never see your card number.

What we never collect

Nothing from your chats, prompts, code or files. Budget Pilot reads your AI tool's usage numbers on your own machine, and they stay there (if you turn on savings sharing, below, only its daily totals are sent). If you turn on phone alerts, your machine sends them straight to your own Telegram bot, not through us.

The browser extension

The extension works only on the ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini websites. It reads the message you are about to send, inside your browser, only to judge how big the task is, and it never sends that text anywhere: not to us and not to anyone else. To check your licence, it sends us your key, the browser's random code, its version and the browser's name. It keeps its settings, the model names it saw in each website's menu and simple counts (how many messages, of which size) in your browser only. Remove a browser in your account any time.

Savings sharing, the cat game and invites (all optional)

Budget Pilot counts the tokens it saves you on your own machine. Only if you turn on sharing in your account do your machines send us their daily totals: for each day, the tokens and dollars saved, a few usage counts, and the machine code. Until then a machine only asks, about once an hour, whether sharing is on, and sends no numbers. Turn sharing off any time: that deletes these numbers from our server (points already earned stay). The cat game turns these totals into points. Other players see only your game name, level and points, never your email; you can hide yourself from the leaderboard. If you invite someone, we keep who invited whom, to give you both the free days.

To deliver and check your licence, enforce the machine limit, stop abuse, and answer support questions.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with Dodo Payments (payments, tax, invoices) and the company that hosts our server.

Cookies

Visitors get no cookies from this site. If you log in to your account, one login cookie keeps you logged in (for about 30 days, or until you log out); it is used for nothing else. The seller's own admin page uses a similar cookie.

How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep your data while your licence exists and for up to 12 months after, for our records. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time: write to san@budgetpilot.net.
