Terms of Service for Budget Pilot App
Effective Date: July 25, 2025
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Budget Pilot ("the App"), you
agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not
use the App.
Description of Service
Budget Pilot is a personal finance tracking application that allows
you to:
- Track bank accounts, budgets, and financial transactions
- Categorize income and expenses
- Sync data across devices when logged in
Account and Trial Usage
Free Trial
- Available for 2 weeks without requiring login
- May be extended in certain circumstances at our discretion
- Limited to local device storage only
- Basic tracking functionality included
User Accounts
- Login available through Google OAuth only
- Creates account in Firebase Authentication
- Enables cloud sync and cross-device access
User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for personal finance tracking
- Maintain the security of your Google account credentials
- Not attempt to access other users' data
- Comply with all applicable laws
Data and Privacy
- Your financial data belongs to you
- We provide cloud sync as a convenience service
- Important: Logging out deletes local data. Ensure sync is complete before logging
out, because unsynced data may be lost

Service Availability
- We strive for reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
- Cloud sync depends on Firebase/Google services
- We reserve the right to perform maintenance that may temporarily
affect service
Data Retention and Account Termination
- Cloud data persists after logout for cross-device sync
- Inactive accounts (expired trial/subscription inactive for 6+
months) may have data deleted
- You may delete your account and data at https://budgetpilot.net/delete-me
Limitations of Liability
Budget Pilot is provided "as is." We are not liable for:
- Financial decisions made based on App data
- Data loss due to technical issues or user actions
- Service interruptions
- Accuracy of user-entered information
Intellectual Property
- Budget Pilot and its features are our intellectual property
- You retain ownership of your financial data
- You may not reverse engineer or redistribute the App
Subscription and Payment Terms
Subscription Types
- Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly with automatic renewal
- Annual Subscription: Billed yearly at a discounted rate with automatic renewal
- Lifetime Subscription: One-time payment with permanent access (when offered)
Payment and Grace Periods
- Monthly subscribers: 7-day grace period after failed payment before access is suspended
- Annual subscribers: 14-day grace period after failed payment before access is suspended
- Everyone: Data deletion after 6 months of inactive/expired subscription
Automatic Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the
renewal date
- You can cancel through your app store account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
Refunds
- Refund policies are subject to app store terms (Apple App Store,
Google Play Store)
Termination
We may terminate access for:
- Violation of these terms
- Misuse of the service
- Technical or security reasons
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use
after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by United Kingdom law.
By using Budget Pilot, you acknowledge that you have read, understood,
and agree to these Terms of Use.
